Early Childhood Educator

Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our bi-lingual Māori chilldcare centre located in Logan Central. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and programs for young children
• Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration
• Observe and assess children’s development and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support children’s individual needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of children’s progress and development
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education

Qualifications:

• Minimum Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Experience working in childcare
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals
