KidsXpress is a children’s mental health charity helping to transform the lives of children impacted by adversity. We deliver trauma-informed Expressive Therapy to children under 12, alongside Education Services for parents, teachers and professionals who care for them.
KidsXpress is seeking an experienced Grants & Partnerships Manager to lead our grants and partnerships function and secure sustainable funding to support our growing impact.
Reporting to the Head of Communications & Fundraising, this role is responsible for driving revenue through philanthropic, corporate and government funding, while leading a small function and ensuring strong systems, processes and relationships are in place. This is a hands-on role that blends strategy, high-quality writing, relationship stewardship and team leadership.
We know flexibility matters so this role is offered 3 days per week with a hybrid mix of office-based and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Grants & Partnerships function, including managing and supporting one direct report
- Research, plan and deliver a strong pipeline of grant and partnership opportunities
- Prepare clear, compelling and evidence-based grant applications, proposals and acquittals
- Build and steward trusted relationships with philanthropic, corporate and government funders
- Maintain grants calendars, reporting schedules and accurate CRM records
- Work closely with Programs and Finance to ensure submissions are feasible, compliant and outcomes-focused
- Represent KidsXpress externally with funders and sector partners
About You
You’ll bring a strong mix of writing capability, organisational discipline and relational confidence, alongside:
- Demonstrated experience securing funding through grants, philanthropy or partnerships
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing relationships with funders or external stakeholders
- The ability to lead workflows and support team performance
- Strong project management skills and comfort working across multiple deadlines
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM
Experience in the not-for-profit, community or human services sector is highly regarded.
