Description

Keystone Civil is a boutique civil construction firm specialising in road projects, renewables, and pipeline works. Since our establishment in 2013, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects while staying true to our core values: CAN DO, CONNECTED, and COMMITTED.

Due to strong growth within the region, we are seeking an additional Project Manager to join our growing team in Mildura. With approximately 70 employees, our focus is not on being the biggest, but on being the best at what we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering civil infrastructure projects across regional Victoria and surrounding areas.

As a Project Manager at Keystone Civil, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion. You will lead project teams, coordinate subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a hands-on approach to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and the broader delivery team.
  • Mentor and develop both direct and indirect reports to build capability and performance.
  • Manage project Profit & Loss, closely monitoring budgets, costs, and productivity.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Own project scheduling, ensuring programs are tracked, updated, and aligned with critical paths, key milestones, procurement timelines, and client requirements.
  • Monitor contractual entitlements and manage any program slippage.
  • Lead procurement activities for assigned projects.
  • Oversee project QC/QA and HSEQ compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive a positive team culture aligned with Keystone’s values.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A qualification in a relevant field (Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex civil construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction techniques and specification requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ best practice.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Great time management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and track production.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
