KeyRing currently have two Independent Travel Trainer roles available in Southwark. This is a part-time position, 12.5 hours per week, paid at London Living Wage (£14.80 per hour).
Please Note: Applicants must hold a current Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List Check registered with the DBS Update Service. We are only able to consider candidates who already have this in place.
What you’ll do:
You’ll work with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, taking them out walking or on public transport, and building their confidence and ability to travel independently to and from school.
You’ll work with one child at a time, meeting them two or three times a week. You’ll meet them in the mornings to assist them on their journey to school and will meet them again after school to help them get back home. You’ll guide them through a set programme, assess their progress, and encourage them to take more independence as they learn.
