Mentor Coordinator (Outside School Hours Care) – Geelong

Region 4 • Hamlyn Heights, Victoria 3215, Australia • Full-time

Description

Mentor Coordinator – Build, Support, Lead

We’re looking for a Mentor Coordinator who’s ready to step into a role with real impact. You’ll lead a strong, established team of educators and support nearby services to do what they do best — deliver great programs for kids.

This role is ideal for someone who’s worked as a Coordinator and is ready to stretch further. You’ll still be hands-on in a service, but you’ll also take on broader responsibilities that shape how we train, support and grow our people.

We’re a Child Safe Organisation, and we’re committed to creating environments where children feel safe, valued and heard.

The role

As Mentor Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Lead a key service
  • Oversee Before and After School Care at one of our flagship programs. You’ll create a space where children feel safe, families feel welcome, and educators feel supported.
  • Support local services
  • You’ll mentor Coordinators and teams across a small group of nearby services — helping build consistency, capability and confidence.
  • Train and guide others
  • Lead practical, hands-on training in everything from programming and admin to behaviour support and team leadership. You’ll be the go-to for new staff and a steady presence for those still learning the ropes.
  • Stay across the detail
  • You’ll manage rosters, compliance, enrolments and planning — and support others to stay on top of it too.
  • Drive improvements
  • You’ll work on projects that make our services better — whether it’s launching new clubs, trialling fresh ideas, or refining systems that make life easier for our teams.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as a Coordinator and knows OSHC inside out
  • Loves helping others succeed and wants to grow as a leader
  • Is confident, clear, and calm under pressure
  • Is organised and always thinking one step ahead
  • Believes in quality education, positive team culture, and putting children at the centre of everything we do

What we offer

On top of your base salary, you’ll receive:

  • 10% Worker Retention Bonus
  • Educational Leader Allowance
  • Ongoing coaching and career development
  • Opportunities to move into senior ops, training, or head office roles
  • Flexibility and a genuine commitment to work-life balance
  • Discounts on retail, fitness, health, and more (yes, even 30% off New Balance)
  • A fun, collaborative team culture where your ideas are welcomed and your work is recognised

Our values

We’re guided by three values — Integrity, Connection, and Playfulness — and they’re at the heart of how we show up every day.

We do what’s right, even when it’s not easy. We back each other and listen well. We keep communication clear and honest. We build real relationships with children, families, schools and each other. And while we take our work seriously, we never lose sight of the joy, creativity and fun that makes OSHC special.

If you’re looking to take the next step, work with great people, and help shape what great looks like — we’d love to hear from you.
