Are you passionate about quality, safety, and making systems work better for both staff and clients?

We’re looking for a practical, solutions-focused leader to join our team at Venndale Rehabilitation Centre. In this role, you’ll turn ideas into action, driving continuous improvement, strengthening safety practices, and ensuring high-quality service delivery in a culturally responsive AOD rehabilitation program.

As the Quality, Safety & Practice Implementation Coordinator, you’ll lead the on-the-ground implementation of quality and safety improvements across the service. Your focus will be embedding systems, supporting staff capability, and ensuring changes are sustained in everyday practice.

You’ll work closely with leadership, frontline staff, and corporate teams to translate risks, gaps, and opportunities into practical, measurable improvements that strengthen outcomes for clients and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and corrective actions
  • Support accreditation readiness and ensure standards are reflected in day-to-day practice
  • Identify risks and gaps, and turn them into clear, practical solutions
  • Strengthen safety systems, procedures, and staff capability
  • Monitor and improve compliance across quality, safety, and service delivery
  • Coordinate facility improvements, repairs, and safety upgrades
  • Coach and support staff to embed consistent, high-quality practices
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders

Tenure: 12-month Contract

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Entitlements/Benefits:

  • 6 Weeks Annual Leave
  • 2 Weeks Sick Leave
  • 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave
  • 1 RDO per Month

Location: This position is based at Kalano’s Venndale Rehabilitation Centre, 30km from Katherine.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week | 7.5 hours per day | Monday to Friday

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Alcohol & Other Drugs (essential)
  • Diploma in Quality Auditing (essential)
  • Diploma in AOD, Community Services, Mental Health or similar (desirable)
  • Leadership/management training (highly regarded)

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in CQI, WHS, accreditation, or quality improvement roles
  • Ability to implement practical change in complex service environments
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and service quality systems
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with cultural awareness and respect
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Mandatory before commencement:

  • NT Driver’s Licence
  • Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • National Police Check
