Job Summary:

Established in 1998, Juniper is a family-owned wine business producing premium wines from three sustainably farmed vineyards in Margaret River.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate gardener to join our team.

The primary role is the care of the beautiful gardens and lawns which surround our cellar door and winery site on Tom Culity Road; as well as maintaining the gardens surrounding the short term accommodation on our Metricup road property. The position is part time of approximately 16 hours per week.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as watering, fertilising, pruning, and weeding to ensure the health and vitality of plants and flowers. 
• Plant new flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery to enhance the visual appeal of outdoor areas. 
• Maintain lawns, including mowing, edging, and trimming to keep them neat and well-groomed. 
• Monitor and control pests and diseases, implementing appropriate measures to prevent or treat them. 
• Assist in designing and implementing landscape plans, ensuring proper placement and arrangement of plants, flowers, and decorative features. 
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, sharp, and in good working condition. 
• Collaborate with other team members and share knowledge and best practices for effective gardening techniques. 
• Maintain inventory of gardening supplies and equipment, and assist in ordering new materials as needed. 
• General maintenance of buildings and grounds infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Horticulture (desirable) or equivalent. 
• Chemical Users certification (desirable).
