About the role
As a Stock Controller at Audi Centre Canberra, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end vehicle stock process, ensuring all inventory is accurately recorded, tracked, and maintained. You’ll work closely with sales, service, and administration teams to ensure vehicles are available, prepared, and delivered on time. This role suits someone who is highly organised, process-driven, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate vehicle stock records across dealership systems.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and allocation of new and used vehicles.
- Coordinate vehicle transfers, deliveries, and dealer trades as required.
- Ensure all stock is correctly documented, registered, and compliant with OEM and dealership requirements.
- Work closely with Sales and Service teams to ensure vehicle readiness and availability.
- Monitor floorplan, aged stock, and inventory reporting.
- Liaise with transport providers, suppliers, and internal departments to track vehicle movements.
- Support vehicle preparation processes including detailing, fuel, and presentation standards.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and system updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of stock control processes and dealership efficiency.
About you
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a stock control, automotive dealership, logistics, or administration role (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Confidence working with systems, data entry, and reporting tools.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused attitude.
- A current driver’s licence.
