We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Commis Chef to join our culinary team on a casual basis. Suitable for experienced professionals who can work independently and contribute creatively to our dessert offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu development and seasonal dessert planning.
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support team operations.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a commercial kitchen.
Formal culinary qualification in patisserie or baking.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
Creativity and attention to detail in presentation.
Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
