Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role supports the financial performance, reporting and analysis of Joondalup Resort and Meadow Springs Country Club.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Accountant who can manage month-end reporting, budgeting support, internal controls, cost analysis and finance team support, while working closely with operational leaders to improve financial understanding and decision-making.

The Role

This role supports the day-to-day finance function, month-end reporting, budgeting and cost control across Joondalup Resort and Meadow Springs Country Club.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop the finance team
  • Manage month-end close: journals, reconciliations, P&L reporting and variance analysis
  • Producing Profit & Loss reports and investigating key variances
  • Supporting cash flow reporting, GST reconciliations, audit and tax requirements
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with annual budgets, forecasts and supporting workpapers
  • Analysing budget variances, payroll costs and operational performance
  • Identifying cost control and profit improvement opportunities across departments
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers, finance procedures and internal control processes
  • Supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and payroll-related processes as required
  • Oversee internal controls, procedure documentation and audit readiness
  • Working closely with managers and department heads to improve financial understanding and decision-making

What You Bring

You will bring strong accounting knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with both finance and operational teams.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • CA/CPA membership, equivalent qualification, or currently working towards it
  • 5–10 years’ relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment, ideally within hospitality, golf, leisure or similar operational businesses
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance managers
  • Confidence supporting or mentoring finance team members
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
