About the role:
As a Senior Community Projects Officer, you will work alongside women in a culturally safe and supportive environment, helping them build the foundation for successful small businesses. You’ll provide hands-on support in planning, organisation, confidence building, administration, and day-to-day business development activities.
This role also supports sales and customer engagement in our Hub retail space and mobile shop, as well as broader outreach and community engagement activities. You’ll collaborate closely with the Coordinator Community Projects to create meaningful enterprise opportunities that align with community needs and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support women to build confidence, independence, and practical business skills.
- Assist with business development, including planning, organisation, ABN/business name setup, record-keeping, and basic admin tasks.
- Support program delivery by helping plan and run activities that grow women’s enterprise opportunities in the Hub and wider community.
- Build positive relationships with community members and partner organisations to strengthen participation and enterprise success.
- Maintain accurate records, participant notes, timesheets, and reporting in required systems.
- Promote safe working practices and comply with Job Pathways WHS requirements.

- Clear and confident verbal communication, with solid written skills.
- Genuine passion for community development and supporting women in achieving their goals.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience working with Indigenous Australians and organisations, with an understanding of challenges in rural and remote communities.
