Our Vision

To be the global leader in creative education, chosen by creatives, trusted by industry.

The Opportunity

The Web Content Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, optimising, and growing JMC Academy’s digital presence, ensuring the website is up-to-date, engaging, meeting performance targets, and aligned with brand and marketing strategies. This role involves working collaboratively across departments to develop, publish, and manage content that grows engagement, enhances user experience, supports student recruitment, and communicates the unique value of JMC’s courses and community.

This is an execution-focused mid-level role, with creative direction provided by the Brand and Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing that direction to life on the website – accurately, on time, and to a high standard. There is genuine opportunity to take ownership of outcomes and proactively recommend improvements to content structure, user experience, and performance. The role also comes at a pivotal moment: maintaining JMC’s current Umbraco website while actively contributing to the migration to HubSpot CMS, then owning the site on HubSpot going forward. Experience within the education sector is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities  Website Management & Content Publishing

  • Own the day-to-day management of JMC Academy’s website across all campus markets, ensuring accuracy, freshness, and consistency of content.
  • Maintain and publish content across JMC Academy’s current website on Umbraco, including course pages, news and events, staff profiles, and landing pages.
  • Play an active role in JMC’s migration from Umbraco to HubSpot CMS – contributing to content migration planning, asset transfer, quality assurance, and go-live activities.
  • Own ongoing website maintenance and content publishing in HubSpot CMS post-migration, including landing pages, CTAs, forms, and smart content modules that support student recruitment workflows.
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, underperforming, or inconsistent content and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate with design and development teams (or agencies) to request, brief, and QA new page templates, components, and feature enhancements.

SEO & Performance Optimisation

  • Apply on-page SEO best practices to all published content, including metadata, heading structure, internal linking, alt text, and URL conventions.
  • Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and HubSpot analytics; provide regular reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organic visibility, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall user experience in collaboration with technical partners.
  • Support A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) initiatives across key recruitment and enquiry pathways.

Content Publishing & Execution

  • Receive, interpret, and execute content briefs from the Brand and Marketing team, ensuring accurate and timely publication across the website.
  • Publish, update, and retire pages and content assets in Umbraco (current) and HubSpot CMS (post-migration), including course pages, news and events, staff profiles, and landing pages.
  • Edit and proofread content prior to publishing, ensuring it is accurate, on-brand, accessible, and well-structured for web audiences.
  • Coordinate the receipt and upload of multimedia assets (photography, video, graphic design) from internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring assets are optimised and published to specification.
  • Contribute to broader digital content execution including email campaign pages, digital advertising landing pages, and campaign microsites as required.

Governance & Brand Alignment

  • Ensure all published web content adheres to JMC Academy’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), and editorial style guide.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders contributing content updates (departmental updates, course information, events).
  • Proactively identify and raise opportunities to improve content quality, page structure, and user experience – even where not explicitly briefed.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the first point of contact for internal content requests, triaging, prioritising, and communicating timelines effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships with the Marketing team, IT/Technology, Student Recruitment, and academic faculty across all campuses.
  • Liaise with external agencies, developers, and platform vendors as needed to deliver digital projects on time and to brief.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • 3–5 years of experience in web content management, digital marketing, or a closely related role.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CMS is highly desired; hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub (landing pages, forms, smart content, workflows, email) is advantageous.
  • Experience with Umbraco is advantageous – the role will manage the existing Umbraco site during the transition period.
  • Strong working knowledge of on-page SEO principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills – able to write clearly and engagingly for a web audience across varied content types.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics GA4, Google Search Console).
  • A high level of attention to detail in both content quality and technical implementation.
  • Existing, unrestricted full working rights in Australia – this role is unable to provide visa sponsorship.

Preferred :

  • Experience working within an education provider, higher education, or vocational training environment.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot Marketing Hub including landing pages, smart content, workflows, forms, and CTAs.
  • Familiarity with Umbraco CMS.
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals sufficient to make minor page edits and troubleshoot display issues.
  • Experience with digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
  • Exposure to UX principles and/or conversion rate optimisation.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).

About You

You thrive in an execution-focused environment where accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery matter. You take a brief and run with it – but you also bring your own thinking to the table, spotting opportunities to improve the site and raising them proactively. You’re comfortable working across both legacy and modern CMS platforms, and you understand that every page is a touchpoint in a prospective student’s decision-making journey. Organised, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in creative education, you’ll take real ownership of JMC’s digital presence.

Location & Working Arrangements

This role is available across JMC Academy’s three campuses:

  • Melbourne (South Melbourne)
  • Brisbane (South Brisbane)
  • Sydney (City)

Work type: Full-time, Hybrid – a combination of on-campus and remote working days. Some in-office presence is required to collaborate with campus teams and attend key marketing events.
