Join Our Creative Faculty – Inspire the Next Generation of Actors!

Are you a passionate educator with the talent, energy, and vision to train emerging performers? Our acclaimed Undergraduate Acting & Music Theatre Program is expanding, and we’re seeking exceptional Voice (including singing & dialect coaches), Dance, and Acting (Stage & Screen) Lecturers to join our faculty in Brisbane & Melbourne.

At JMC Academy, you’ll work with students eager to enter the performing arts industry. We’re looking for teachers who are skilled practitioners and inspiring mentors—professionals who understand the demands of Acting & Music Theatre performances for stage & screen, and can guide students towards both technical mastery and authentic artistic expression.

As part of our collaborative creative team, you will:

• Deliver engaging classes that develop strong foundational technique. 

• Mentor students through rehearsals, performance projects, and industry-facing opportunities. 

• Contribute to a supportive learning environment that champions curiosity, discipline, and innovation. 

• Help shape a curriculum that reflects current professional standards in acting & musical theatre.

Are you who we are looking for?

You will know this role is for you if you: 

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification and/or professional certification in a relevant discipline, or evidence that the applicant is currently enrolled in a post graduate qualification 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience desirable (especially as creatives & producers) 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience desirable 
  • A positive working attitude & a team player 
  • Empathy and a passion for teaching and the process of learning 
  • Curiosity and lifelong learning 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
