We’re currently seeking Home Care Support Workers to provide meaningful care and assistance to our clients living across the Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas. This opportunity is open to both Permanent Part-Time and Casual applicants.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Home Care Support Worker, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual support plans. Duties may include:
- Build compassionate relationship and support clients in achieving their goals
- Assisting with personal care (e.g. showering, grooming, dressing) – to ensure dignity, comfort and wellbeing
- Domestic support (e.g. cleaning, laundry, meal preparation) – helping with daily living task ensuring their comfort and wellbeing being met
- Transport and social support (e.g. shopping, medical appointments)
- Companionship and well-being-focused engagement
This is a Monday to Friday role (8am–5pm) with occasional weekend work and requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours/week, with availability for at least 2 full days or 3.5 days per week.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Community) – Mandatory
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates – Mandatory
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle – Mandatory
- Previous experience in aged care, community support or a similar field – Highly Desirable
- Understanding of person-centred care and a genuine interest in supporting others
- Respect for cultural diversity and sensitivity to working with Jewish clients
- Experience working with vulnerable people and CALD (Culturally Linguistically Diverse) background – Highly Desirable
- Commitment to professional conduct, confidentiality, and JewishCare values
