Third Party Hardware & Supplier Manager
Full-time | Melbourne or Sydney
Why JET Charge?
JET Charge is helping lead one of the most significant shifts in energy and transport in a generation.
Our mission is clear: to provide EV charging at no cost, with no
emissions. We’re building Australia’s electrified future by developing the infrastructure and technology that makes clean transport more accessible through innovation in charging, grid, and energy management systems.
As Australia’s leading EV charging company, we work across the infrastructure, software, and technical delivery that sit behind complex commercial charging projects. This is an opportunity to join a business shaping how EV charging will be designed into commercial buildings and projects in the years ahead.
The Role
As Third-Party Hardware & Supplier Manager, you’ll manage the third-party chargers and hardware products JET Charge takes to market. You’ll decide which products are added to our range, how they are priced, when they need to be reviewed or replaced, and which suppliers we work with.
This role works closely with Business Development, Procurement, Delivery, Finance and Technology. You’ll bring structure to how we manage hardware, suppliers, pricing and product performance across the business.
We’re looking for someone with strong category or supplier management experience, good commercial judgement, and the ability to understand technical products without needing to be an engineer. Experience in EV charging or hardware would be useful, but curiosity and commercial discipline matter more.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing JET Charge’s third-party hardware portfolio, including which products are added, maintained, replaced or retired.
- Assessing new charger and hardware products against commercial, technical, compliance and delivery requirements.
- Managing supplier qualification and onboarding, including commercial terms, warranty, spare parts, documentation and platform access.
- Building strong supplier relationships and acting as the key commercial contact for selected suppliers.
- Tracking supplier performance across reliability, quality, availability, responsiveness, documentation and delivery outcomes.
- Running regular supplier performance conversations and escalating issues where performance does not meet expectations.
- Using project and margin data to support pricing decisions across third-party hardware.
- Building and maintaining pricing frameworks, including processes for cost increases, pricing exceptions and approvals.
- Setting standards for catalogue data quality, procurement information and required supplier documentation.
- Working closely with Product, Business Development, Delivery, Finance, Procurement and Technology teams to support hardware decisions.
- Providing product, supplier and pricing inputs into demand planning, forecasting and procurement decisions.
- Creating practical processes, templates and reporting that make third-party hardware easier to manage across the business.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in category management, supplier management, procurement, commercial product management or a similar role.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance management, commercial discussions and issue resolution.
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to understand pricing, cost, margin and how decisions flow through to financial outcomes.
- Experience managing a product range, catalogue or portfolio, including product selection, lifecycle management and documentation.
- Confidence negotiating commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, warranty, service levels and supply commitments.
- The ability to work with technical products and technical stakeholders, even if you are not a technical specialist.
- Strong cross-functional working style, with the ability to bring together teams across sales, delivery, procurement, finance and technology.
- A structured approach to building processes, improving systems and creating clarity where things are ambiguous or underdeveloped.
- High attention to detail, especially around product information, supplier documentation, pricing data and commercial records.
- Experience with hardware, energy, electrical infrastructure, construction, technology or another technical product environment.
- Experience in EV charging, fleet, automotive, energy management or distributed energy would be highly regarded.
