Our Tas office is seeking a motivated Project Scientist or Project Consultant with 1-5 years’ experience to join the Assessments and Approvals (AaA) team.  

About the role

JBS&G – a Geosyntec Company is looking for a Graduate level Project Scientist or Project Consultant to join our Assessments and Approvals team in Hobart – Tasmania. You will be part of a dynamic team that works collaboratively with clients on projects that are significant to Tasmania and national fabric. A sound understanding of environmental impact assessment, planning and other relevant legislation is key, and you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of Australia’s leading approvals professionals.

JBS&G will provide you with the tools to enable career development, with long-standing client relationships, interesting projects, collaboration and idea generation across all sectors and service streams.

About you

  • Hold a relevant degree in planning, science, environmental management, law, engineering or similar.
  • Be a self-starter, a natural leader, a strategic thinker and a team player.
  • Work within project teams to produce easy to read summaries from technical information which meet the needs of clients, government and the public.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Tasmanian approvals pathways under the environment and planning legislation.
  • Work with project teams to assist in delivering clients with simple and clear solutions to assessment and approvals problems.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables for assessment by government regulators and communication to the public.
