We are seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will lead technically complex projects, build trusted client relationships and help shape the future direction of our Contaminated Land practice. You will be part of a collaborative team that values technical excellence, strong leadership, genuine teamwork and ongoing professional development.
About the role
As a key member of the Adelaide Contaminated Land team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across Australia. You will apply your technical expertise, leadership and commercial insight to solve complex environmental challenges, support team capability and strengthen our market presence.
What you will do
- Deliver high-quality technical and strategic advice on complex environmental challenges.
- Lead major projects, ensuring strong delivery, commercial performance, risk management and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for long-term value.
- Drive business development through new work, proposals, key account growth and market engagement.
- Lead, mentor and support team members, building capability and a high-performing team culture.
- Contribute to the leadership and growth of the practice through technical excellence and continuous improvement.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field, with earth sciences expertise highly regarded.
- Significant experience in contaminated sites assessment, remediation and management, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Strong proposal, reporting and review skills, including scoping and pricing complex works.
- Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality professional service.
- Established client, industry and regulator networks, with the ability to generate opportunities and win work.
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development and project performance.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to complete police and medical clearances as required.
