We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Support Engineer to join our IT team and play a key role in supporting our technology. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring our firm’s technology runs seamlessly every day, while also supporting our senior IT staff in maintaining a stable, secure, and efficient system landscape.
In this position, you will be the point of contact for level 1 and level 2 support, helping to resolve issues across our technology environment, and acting as the first escalation point for our Service Desk team during incidents or triage activities. You will also have the chance to get involved in a range of technology projects and be on the look-out for smarter solutions to existing challenges.
You will play a trusted support role to our senior IT team members, assisting with business as usual (BAU) tasks and sharing valuable feedback from your troubleshooting experiences. Your
responsibilities will also include handling first level infrastructure and application duties, as well as being available to provide after hours support for critical infrastructure events, and as part of a roster for service delivery.
We are looking for a candidate who has the following:
- Practical experience with Microsoft Windows (Server and 11) environments.
- A background in supporting Office Business Applications and modern Net applications.
- Experience supporting cyber security as a core part of BAU, including assisting users with identifying and managing potentially malicious emails and contributing to our ongoing security awareness efforts.
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- A self driven work ethic and the confidence to work independently.
- Experience working within an enterprise environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
What we can offer you
- Respectful, diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
- Personal development plans supported with in-house CPD seminars, e-Learning and many other opportunities.
- Reward and recognition program.
- Free onsite gym with organised classes.
- Dress for your day – if you aren’t meeting with clients or guests, dress in a manner that reflects your working day in the office.
- Weekly breakfasts.
- Opportunities to join working groups (Diversity and Inclusion, Reconciliation Working Group).
