About the Role

Based in Humpty Doo, we are looking for a motivated and people focussed Employment Advisor to join our team. The position involves working closely with Jobseekers to understand their strengths, barriers, and goals, and supporting them into employment. Working to the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) guidelines, you’ll develop Job Plans, connect Jobseekers with training and support services and collaborate with internal teams. This position suits someone who enjoys supporting people into meaningful employment and contributing to positive community and program outcomes.

What you will do

Day to day, you will manage a caseload of Jobseekers, working closely with them to understand their strengths and barriers to employment. Developing Job Plans and connecting Jobseekers to appropriate training and support services to help them close skills gaps, address barriers and achieve meaningful employment.

This role will see you maintaining accurate and timely records in the appropriate program systems and ensuring all documentation, appointments and referrals meet Remote Australia Employment Service guidelines. You’ll monitor progress, escalate any risks early, and adjust strategies to support Jobseeker success.

Working closely with internal teams contributes to positive employment outcomes. Staying informed about local labour market trends and program updates will ensure your case management is high quality and effective.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant experience or qualifications aligned with employment services, case management, or community support.

• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

• An understanding of cultural safety, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

• Proven ability to work to targets and contract outcomes.

• Strong computer skills and ability to work across digital compliance systems.

• Ability to travel within the Darwin / Daly service region
