Our Vision – Changing lives – one story at a time

Our Mission Statement – Improving lives and transforming Aboriginal communities through employment, advocacy and economic opportunities.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term, part-time contract for a period of 6 months.

Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a Community Projects Supervisor to help build real world, work ready skills within our Women’s program in Belyuen.

This is a practical, hands on role where you’ll work alongside participants, guiding them through tasks that build confidence and introduce different job skills. You’ll support daily routines, practical learning, and community projects that create meaningful activities and promote long term employment pathways for women. A commitment to cultural awareness and inclusivity is crucial as you motivate and supervise participants from diverse backgrounds across various skill areas.

If you’re someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, working with your hands, and being part of a team that’s creating real change, this is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and have a positive impact in people’s lives.

What you will do

As a Supervisor in our Women’s program, you’ll lead hands-on community-based activities that empower women to build confidence, develop practical skills, and explore employment pathways. From cultural arts and crafts to small enterprise projects and daily operations, your role is about inspiring participation and fostering a safe, welcoming space where women can learn, connect, and grow.

You’ll introduce safe work practices, facilitate daily toolbox talks, track attendance, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations that reflect the needs and interests of women in the Belyuen community. You’ll also work with local stakeholders to shape meaningful projects and support participants to take steps toward employment. Whether it’s encouraging someone to try something new or helping them show up and give it a go, your leadership will support small, steady steps that make a lasting difference.

We are looking for a suitable applicant who has:

• Experience in community development programs or employment services

• Experience or strong interest in Indigenous cultural activities, including traditional arts, crafts, storytelling, bush foods, or local enterprise.

• Ability to work independently and keep small teams on task

• Willingness to support people with limited work experience

• Good communication and administration skills

• Reliable and down-to-earth attitude

• Ability to travel within the Ironbark Group’s service region

In return for your skills and valued contribution, you will be rewarded with:

• Salary and Benefits: Generous remuneration package including 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading

• NFP Salary Packaging: Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.

• Family and Lifestyle Support: Access to wellbeing initiatives, generous leave entitlements, and programs that support personal and family wellbeing.

• Purpose-Driven Culture: Be part of a values-led organisation making a real and lasting impact.

• Career development opportunities: Support to challenge yourself, grow and develop new skills and knowledge.

Are you ready for the next best adventure in your career?
