Your opportunity
As our Purchasing Officer, you’ll be the driving force behind accurate and efficient transactional processing — ensuring every purchase request, order, and invoice is handled smoothly from start to finish. Your focus on precision, consistency, and workflow efficiency will keep our procurement cycle running without interruption. By combining strong communication with meticulous attention to detail, you’ll support operational excellence across every stage of the purchasing process.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Process purchase orders with precision – review, validate, code and process requests to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships – obtain quotations, assess responses, and select suppliers in line with our procurement policy and criteria.
- Oversee order and invoice workflows – track orders, expedite deliveries, confirm goods and services are received, and perform a three-way match.
- Maintain accurate records – complete data entry, report discrepancies, and uphold audit compliance across purchasing activities.
- Deliver exceptional internal service – build trust with stakeholders through timely communication, quality outcomes, and collaborative support.
What you’ll bring
In this role, you’ll apply your sharp attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and dedication to process optimisation within transactional processing. With a background in vendor coordination, workflow management, and maintaining data accuracy, you’ll excel in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are critical. Your focus on operational excellence and strong collaboration will help streamline purchasing processes and drive successful outcomes for the team.
To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:
- Diploma of Procurement and Contracting is preferred, with solid understanding of purchasing, vendor management and transactional workflows.
- Strong data entry skills and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Experience in high-volume purchasing or Accounts Payable, with a friendly, results-driven approach.
