About the role:
As a Fuel Tanker Driver at IOR, you’ll do work that actually matters – delivering the fuel that keeps Australia running. This particular role is dedicated to supporting one of our major clients on an exciting project, so you’ll take full ownership of each delivery from start to finish, ensuring every load is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. It also means that you’ll be based on-site during your on swing so while you won’t be cooped up in your truck cabin, professionalism and following policy will be crucial. This isn’t just about clocking kilometres. It’s about making a genuine difference that keeps communities and businesses going.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Loading, transportation and delivery of fuel products to one of our major clients.
- Performing daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment and managing all associated WHS.
- Manage fatigue and perform logbook duties and all record keeping required.
- Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with our customers.
- Driving on a 7-on 7-off roster based in the Surat area. Company change out vehicle will be provided for travel to and from the depot.
What you’ll bring
You get along well with people and take pride in a job well done. You’re a skilled driver who’s serious about safety – managing fatigue properly, keeping your logbook up to scratch, and maintaining the records that keep you compliant and on the road. Whether you’re on site or away from home, you’ll look after IOR’s gear like it’s your own.
To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:
- Fuel industry experience with BFM accreditation, MC License and Dangerous Goods License.
- Road train experience
- Dedication to vehicle care, safety, and environmental compliance
- Clean driving history report
- To take pride in personal presentation and understand the importance of being well‑presented on client sites.
- Customer service skills and service-minded attitude
