Be at the forefront of industry change! We are looking for a highly passionate and experienced allied health professional or educator to join our Early Childhood team in delivering the NDIS Early Childhood Approach.
You will be familiar with National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention approaches and be passionate about making a difference in the lives of families with children with developmental concerns, developmental delay or disability.
Our Early Childhood Practitioners deliver early childhood intervention supports to children aged 0-6 years with developmental concerns and/or emerging developmental delays. The role focuses on the direct provision of evidence-informed early childhood intervention through individual sessions, group programs and family capacity building.
Practitioners provide intervention through individual sessions, group programs, and coaching approaches that empower families to support their child’s development within daily routines and community settings.
Travel within the region is an expectation of this role to effectively support our participants and their families.
In this rewarding role you will:
- Have no billable hours! Have the flexibility within your work hours to meet the needs of children and their families.
- Work alongside families to ensure access to the information, linkages and capacity building to enable their children with developmental concerns, developmental delay or disability to fully participate within their communities.
- Implement the NDIS Early Childhood Approach to support children under nine years of age who have a developmental delay or disability, and their families/carers.
- Support families to facilitate access to the most appropriate early intervention pathway, including community supports and accessing the NDIS.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, community organisations, clinical services and education settings.

This is a full-time fixed term contract, from as soon as possible until 30 June 2027, based in our Deniliquin office. Part-time, 4 days per week considered.
The role is classified under the Health Professionals Award Level 1.3, but paid in line with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, with an annual salary of $92,733 plus superannuation and access to salary packaging benefits.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood or Primary Teaching or Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Social Worker, Speech Pathologist or Developmental Educator) with relevant professional body registration or eligibility for professional membership.
- Current Working with Children’s Check or VIT registration
- National Police Criminal History Check (Intereach will arrange and pay for this)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
