Award: The role is classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award Level 4

Starting Salary: $88,090 per year plus superannuation and access to salary packaging benefits.

As an Early Childhood Coordinator, you will:

  • Work alongside families with children (0-8 years) who have developmental delay and/or diagnosed disability, to implement the NDIS Early Childhood approach.
  • Support children and their families in developing the skills they need to participate meaningfully in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their lives.
  • Ensure services and functions are delivered in line with policies, systems and processes.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Allied Health, Allied Health Assistant or related qualification and/or Human Services with experience working with children and families with a family centred, strengths-based approach.
  • Knowledge of typical and atypical child development.
  • Knowledge of conducting and interpreting childhood developmental screeners and assessments.
  • Experience in facilitating group interventions for children with disability or developmental delay.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Well-developed organisational, time management, administrative skills and computer literacy with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of regional mainstream and community supports and services for children.
  • Demonstrated awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the EC approach and commitment to early childhood intervention best practice principals We are looking for someone who aligns with our values of partnership, leadership and social justice.
