Company Accountant

Are you an experienced financial accountant with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for systems and process improvement, and the ability to keep multiple platforms talking to each other?

Interchange Outer East (IOE) is looking for a Company Accountant to be the backbone of our Finance team, someone who brings both technical excellence and genuine care for the work we do.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Company Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting, compliance, and the day-to-day management of core finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash flow, credit card administration, and plan management. You will provide guidance and support to finance staff and play an active role in improving our systems and processes. Our finance environment involves a suite of platforms that need to work together: MYOB Acumatica (finance), Good Human (NDIS billing and rostering), Careview (plan management), ProSpend (expense management), and a corporate prepaid reloadable card program. The ideal candidate will be confident navigating and connecting these systems, identifying data issues, and building better processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, IPA or equivalent).
  • Professional membership (CPA) or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting and compliance within a multi-funded organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in MYOB Acumatica or similar financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple platforms and reconcile data between systems.
  • Experience with or exposure to Good Human, Careview, ProSpend or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Understanding of NDIS financial frameworks, audit requirements, and statutory compliance.
  • Proven ability to support and guide finance team members.
  • A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
