Carpal Tunnel Clinician

Upper Limb Clinician (Physiotherapist / Occupational Therapist) – Part-Time
Location: Brunswick, VIC (Carpal Tunnel Institute) Work Type: Part-time (3-4 days per week, or as agreed) Work Arrangement: Minimum 1–2 days on-site weekly, with hybrid options available by agreement. 

Start date:  Available Immediately. Hourly Rate: Competitive, aligned with industry averages ($45–$90 per hour depending on qualifications and experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a clinician (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to join our team on a part-time basis.

This role is primarily focused on clinical assessment and patient support across the spectrum of the carpal tunnel journey. You will play a key role in assessment, gathering clinical information, and management in a well supported and friendly collegial environment, helping to facilitate an efficient patient journey.

Training will be provided, including specific protocols for carpal tunnel assessment and patient education. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments for patients with suspected carpal tunnel syndrome 
  • Take patient histories and perform relevant physical examinations 
  • Identify clinical signs consistent with carpal tunnel and document findings clearly 
  • Provide patients with preliminary education about their condition and next steps 
  • Prepare patients for consultation with the treating doctor 
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records 
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow 
  • Some consults will be via telehealth. 

About the Micro Invasive Treatment

About You

  • Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist (AHPRA registered) 
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills 
  • Ability to explain treatment options with clarity and objectivity
  • Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities 
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team 

Preferred

  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or working toward certification
  • Splint fabrication skills (wrist, thumb, post-op protocols)
