The Role
The position is primarily an engineering and project support role, with responsibility for supporting the management of Army’s TDL design and implementation within the Land Combat System, including Army’s integration into the Joint Data Network (JDN)). This includes support toward providing strategic guidance for Variable Message Format (VMF) and other TDL standards implementation, Common Operating Picture (COP) design, and guidance to projects throughout the One Defence Capability Model (ODCM) (formerly the Capability Life Cycle (CLC)) in accordance with systems engineering practices. The specified individual will also be required to support TDL training to Army personnel and support to major exercises
About You
- Manage and advise on Army’s TDLs.
- Support the management of C4ISR related application trials and potential procurement activities. This includes the coordination of training and system implementation by engaging Joint HQs, CASG and internal stakeholders.
- The provision of policy advice on the management of Army TDLs, with consideration of Joint and coalition priorities and influences.
- Provide support to the JDN Working Groups Chair for strategic direction for TDLs within Land and Joint systems/platforms to enable information exchange within the JDN.
- Coordinate Army’s input into the development of VMF standards with the United States, including VMF software blocking plan development.
- Provide TDL advice to support all phases of the OCDM.
- Provide COP advice to support all phases of the ODCM.
- Lead programmatic, technical and operational support to Test and Evaluation activities with Army and Joint agencies.
