Our success depends on our ability to identify, engage and mobilise highly specialised talent quickly and effectively. IAG is recognised as Veteran Friendly Employer under the Veteran Employment Program.

The Role

We are seeking an Information Systems / ICT Engineering professional to support the delivery and sustainment of complex mission-critical capability within an integrated workforce environment.

In this role, you will deliver moderately complex information systems and engineering support under limited direction, contributing to the operation, integration, and sustainment of ICT infrastructure supporting advanced air capability systems, including mission planning, operational systems, and secure communications (COMSEC).

You will act as a key point of contact for ICT and operational enquiries, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across Defence, industry, system integrators, and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering information systems and engineering support within a complex, integrated environment
  • Acting as a central point of contact for ICT and operational enquiries, providing timely and effective support
  • Managing schedules, risks, resources, and budgets in line with organisational governance requirements
  • Applying established engineering and information systems management practices, supported by clear and accurate documentation
  • Supporting and managing ICT and minor engineering products in alignment with organisational standards and system complexity
  • Contributing to the definition, design, integration, and sustainment of ICT infrastructure supporting mission planning, operations, and secure communications capabilities
  • Supporting the planning and integration of current and future capability milestones, including software and system upgrades
  • Coordinating with Defence, industry partners, system integrators, and international stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support sustainment outcomes

About You

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and collaborative information systems professional who thrives in a complex and fast-paced environment.

You will bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining effective stakeholder engagement.

You will have:

  • 3–5 years’ demonstrated experience, or strong foundational knowledge, in information systems, ICT infrastructure, or engineering support roles
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and support informed decision-making
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working within Defence capability programs or similarly regulated environments (highly regarded)
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within integrated teams
  • NV1 clearance minimum required (NV2 preferred)
