The Role
The ILS Officer will be required to:
- Support and manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities across acquisition projects
- Coordinate ILS deliverables with prime contractors and key stakeholders
- Lead or participate in ILS working groups and mandated system reviews for acquisition deliverables
- Review, assess, and provide feedback on ILS documentation (including ILSP and associated plans)
- Assist in the development and maintenance of ILS documentation, processes, and SOPs
- Provide technical and logistical advice to support acquisition planning, risk management, and decision-making
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external industry partners to ensure alignment with program objectives
- Maintain accurate records of acquisition deliverables and contribute to reporting requirements
- Undertake occasional travel to project or operational sites
- Perform additional tasks as required to support program outcomes
About You
Responsibilites and expereince required for this role:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Experience supporting acquisition and/or sustainment environments
- Familiarity with structured procurement frameworks (e.g. ASDEFCON or similar)
- Experience reviewing and contributing to ILS acquisition documentation and deliverables
- Strong understanding of logistics planning, supportability, and lifecycle considerations
- Ability to provide practical technical and logistical advice within a project environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working with internal teams and external industry partners
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate with a degree of autonomy
- Strong attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records and reporting outputs
