The Role

Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Maritime SPO requires an experienced ICT / Cyber Security Specialist to support their Adelaide operations team. This role will report to the SPO Security Manager and primarily assist with ICT and cyber security management for a variety of Defence facilities (offices, laboratories, integration and test centres) based in the Edinburgh Parks precinct. Minimum NV2 clearance and a willingness to uplift to PV is required.

About You

Desirable candidate will have:

  • Experience in managing Defence ICT systems.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Australian ISM, DSPF and PSPF frameworks.
  • A passion for information system and cyber security and a drive to build capabilities from the ground up.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills including stakeholder engagement.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A working knowledge of networks, systems and/or data links used across Defence.
  • Experience with security risk management, including risk identification as related to Defence technologies.
  • Be willing to participate in an on-call roster on a periodic basis with governance imposed restrictions (no alcohol consumption, return to site within 60mins-2hrs).
  • Be willing to travel interstate periodically to support EWIS-M business and security operations.
  • Experienced in working within Defence Zone 4/5 secure areas and be willing to expand the individuals remit and corporate knowledge to include physical security tasking as applicable to EWIS-M facilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold civilian equivalent qualifications for Defence ICT Security Specialist roles.
  • Minimum related Bachelor’s degree in related field such as computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering with a major in system security or equivalent

OR

  • 5+ years’ experience working within a Defence information/system security environment

OR

  • Hold a recognised professional certification, e.g. CISSP, ISO 27001 lead auditor, SANS 401, CompTIA Security+, CISM, CISA or CRISC (or working towards).
  • IRAP qualified with a minimum of one qualification from both category A and B as follows: Category A CISM CISSP GSLC Category B CISA CRISC GSNA ISO 27001 Lead Auditor PCI QSA
