Industry Beans is an award-winning specialty coffee roaster, café operator and retail brand. From its flagship location in Fitzroy, Industry Beans roasts daily for its own venues, a family of premium hospitality venues around Australia and a large online community.
Industry Beans is offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative and exciting specialty coffee roasting team. This role would suit an experienced Coffee Roaster or Account Manager looking to further their career in a specialty coffee and customer focused business.
The Role:
Reporting to the National Wholesale Operations Manager, the Account Manager & Coffee Roaster will be responsible for looking after our wholesale customer base; providing high value service and support, which will see our customers grow their businesses and increasing their weekly volumes.
The Account Manager & Coffee Roaster will also work with the Wholesale team in our Fitzroy Roastery completing both delivery, roasting and production duties.
This position has the following responsibilities:
- Manage and improve Industry Beans’ ability to exceed wholesale client expectations
- Build relationships with our clients and the team at each account
- Monitor and attend to all client needs, including technical support and troubleshooting, quality concerns and ordering
- Complete training programs with client team members
- Communicate client needs effectively with the roasting team and assist in organizing technical and marketing support as required
- Complete customer visits and deliver coffee to customers
- Develop new business opportunities with current client base through development of long term relationships
- Maintain skills and involvement in small batch coffee roasting and assisting with production responsibilities
You will be perfect for this role if you have:
- Advanced knowledge of the specialty coffee industry
- Experience in an Account Management role
- Strong initiative with the ability to form mutually beneficial relationships
- Astute problem solving and communication skills
- Previous barista skills with strong knowledge and experience with alternative brewing methods
- Competency with computers and software including cloud-based software
- Full driver’s license
- Availability work on weekdays and the occasional weekend
