THE ROLE
Indigo has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist Part time (0.5 FTE) to join our Disability Services team to provide services for school aged youth and adult NDIS participants, delivery of training and explore service growth opportunities. The Speech Pathologist works with individuals, carers, organisations, and key partners to ensure optimal outcomes for people accessing Indigo’s services. As well as delivering ongoing speech pathology services to meet customers’ goals, there is the opportunity to provide training, assessment, prescription, and implementation of assistive technology, with a particular focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
THE CANDIDATE:
The right candidate will be a passionate, dynamic, and innovative Speech Pathologist. They will have:
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (Certified Practicing), a desirable 5 years’ experience
- Clinical experience in assessment, prescription, and implementation of assistive technology, with a particular focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
- High standard of communication, problem solving, and initiative
- Demonstrated proficiency in ICT – databases, data analysis, and Office Suite
- Consultative and collaborative working style with ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Possess a valid WA Drivers License, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and current First Aid & CPR
