Indigenous Shared Services Group (ISSG) Multiple WA Sites FIFO – 8/6 Roster
This is a field
safety role with genuine variety, real autonomy, and direct impact. You will
work across multiple ISSG client businesses and operational sites throughout
WA, supporting a diverse portfolio for Tier 1 mining clients. Our business
spans passenger transport, mobile plant operations, and other specialist
service businesses. No two risks are the same, and no two days look the same.
Reporting to
the Perth-based HSEQ Manager, you will plan and manage your own site visit
schedule aligned to operational risk and business priorities. If you are a
practical, field-focused safety professional who does your best work with
people rather than behind a desk, this role was built for you. You will be working for a company that is
genuinely excited about progressing on its journey to safety excellence.
Roster: FIFO 8 on / 6 off (Negotiable)
Location: Roaming across WA – Pilbara and broader operations
Clients: Iron Ore Tier 1
Remuneration:
Competitive package
What you will be doing
- •Planning and managing a
predominantly self-led site visit schedule across WA operational sites, aligned
to risk and business priorities.
- •Coaching supervisors and
operational leaders to understand and own WHS execution in the field – not
doing it for them.
- •Conducting workplace
inspections, field leadership activities, audits, risk assessments and critical
control verifications.
- •Supporting incident
investigations including evidence collection, causal analysis and corrective
action development.
- •Assisting with fatigue
management, journey management, safe driving compliance and contract-specific
client HSE requirements.
- •Analysing safety data and
identifying trends to support operational decision making at site and group
level.
What you bring
- •Certificate IV in Work Health
and Safety or higher.
- •ICAM, TapRoot or similar Root
Cause Analysis qualification.
- •Minimum 5 years in site-based
WHS roles within mining, transport, logistics, construction or heavy industry.
- •Strong working knowledge of WHS
legislation, risk management, incident investigation and safety management
systems.
- •The ability to plan and manage
a field-based schedule independently, without needing to be directed.
- •Practical influencing skills –
comfortable coaching operational leaders without taking ownership away from the
line.
- •Current driver’s licence and
the ability to travel regularly across WA sites.
Highly regarded
- •Experience with Tier 1 mining
contractor environments.
- •Background in passenger
transport, mobile plant, or contractor compliance in Tier 1 mining environments.

aligned safety management systems.
