Imperfectionism is working with a distinguished and values driven construction company to find an inspiring , passionate and authentic Head of People and Culture. Our client is a leader in the delivery of quality construction projects that display innovation and excellence. This business has spent 40 years crafting methods to deliver premium construction projects in the commercial, residential and security sectors.

What you will Do:

  • Craft and spearhead the organisation’s People and Culture strategy, ensuring it’s in harmony with the businesses overarching goals.
  • Dive deep into the business landscape, providing strategic counsel that influences key decisions and operational strategies.
  • Analyze people data and trends to support the organisation’s strategic aims, and craft impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Elevate talent management, by enhancing the existing Employee Value Proposition to revolutionize recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Foster a robust, value-driven culture, leading initiatives that amplify employee engagement and commitment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications team to boost internal communication efforts, reinforcing organizational development.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion, with a special focus on increasing female representation in construction and implementing a targeted Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
  • Design a competitive remuneration and benefits strategy, to ensure the organisation stands out as an employer of choice.
  • Spearhead people development, aligning learning and development with both organizational needs and individual aspirations, and creating a leadership development framework that fosters a coaching culture.

Who you are :

  • A passionate advocate for an organisation’s mission and values, with a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Bringing 8+ years of HR experience, with a strong background in organizational development, staff development, and inclusion.
  • A holder of (or eligible for) professional membership with the Australian Human Resources Institute ( highly regarded).
  • Equipped with exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Skilled in working effectively across diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds.
  • An excellent communicator with stellar organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
