The Role
We’re looking for an energetic Recruitment Officer who doesn’t just fill roles — someone who hunts for exceptional talent, builds genuine relationships with our leaders, and takes real pride in connecting the right people with an opportunity that’s genuinely unlike anything else out there.
You’ll run end-to-end recruitment across mainly technical roles — often multiple at once. That means:
- Building close partnerships with hiring managers to understand what they actually need (not just what’s on the brief).
- Proactively sourcing talent through LinkedIn, SEEK, networks, and industry channels — staying ahead of the pipeline, not chasing it.
- Managing the full candidate journey with the kind of responsiveness and professionalism that makes people want to work here.
- Keeping our ATS data tight and accurate.
- Supporting employer branding — careers content, university outreach, career fairs, and positioning Hypersonix as a destination for the best minds in aerospace.
- Contributing to onboarding, HR projects, and broader People and Culture initiatives.
The Person

You’ll work as part of a collaborative team delivering cutting-edge solutions under tight deadlines, requiring flexibility and strong problem-solving skills.
Ideally you will have 2+ years of recruitment experience and a track record of delivering in environments that move fast and don’t slow down for you. Specifically:
- You build trust with hiring managers quickly — they see you as a partner, not an administrator.
- You’re resourceful and proactive — you’re already building tomorrow’s pipeline today.
- You pick up systems fast and use them well — tech complexity doesn’t intimidate you.
- You juggle competing priorities without losing accuracy or dropping the ball.
- You communicate clearly, handle sensitive situations with discretion, and follow through on what you say you’ll do.
- You’re energised by growth and change, not unsettled by it.
Experience in aerospace, defence, engineering, or advanced manufacturing is a bonus — but your hunger, pace, and people instincts matter more.
