Production Operator (Night Shift)

About the role:             

This is an exciting opportunity to join the night shift production team at Hygain in Officer. This role is perfect for a competent person operating machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Come and be part of a great team producing high quality equine feed through mixing, batching, baking, and packaging. Night shift hours are from 10.00pm to 6.06am Sunday to Thursday.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Measure, mix and prepare raw materials according to company specifications and recipes.
• Work autonomously and as a team member to deliver daily production requirements.
• Ensure your work area is kept clean to maintain company compliance, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Effectively communicate requirements/concerns with the production managers/supervisors.     
• Contribute to continuous improvement.initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

About you:

• Have previous experience working within a faced-paced production environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Have excellent verbal and written skills.
• A willingness to learn.
• Be looking for a long-term career, with opportunities to grow your career.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A good understanding of Quality, WHS and Food Safety Systems.
• Be reliable and motivated to succeed.
• Be physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks with the ability to lift 25kg’s.
• Can do attitude with a team focus.
• A forklift licence is mandatory or the willingness to undertake training.
