About the role
We’re seeking a Clinical Educator (0.6 FTE) based at Franklin to lead the development, delivery and evaluation of education programs for clinical and non-clinical staff across the organisation. You’ll work closely with leaders across services and support a strong learning culture that underpins quality, multidisciplinary care.
A key part of this role is also coordinating and facilitating student nurse clinical placements, working in partnership with the University of Tasmania (UTAS) and site leaders to ensure a positive, well-supported learning experience.
Key responsibilities
• Identify education needs and design, deliver and evaluate training programs aligned to organisational priorities and quality requirements.
• Build and maintain a training calendar to support consistent education delivery across services.
• Deliver workplace-based learning (group and 1:1), including competency-based assessment.
• Facilitate orientation for new staff, volunteers and students.
• Coordinate UTAS student nurse placements, including liaison, scheduling, onboarding/orientation, and support for preceptors and students during placement.
• Support continuous improvement by contributing to audits, reviews, incident/hazard learnings, and policy/guideline development.
About you (essential)
• Bachelor of Nursing (or similar) and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical education, mentoring and supporting learners in the workplace (including students).
• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of aged care and quality expectations, with a safety-first approach.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between HRC sites as required.
Highly regarded: Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent).
