Description

We are a passionate team of people who aim to  support people with disability to live a life of dignity in the way they choose.

The Housing Hub was created  in 2017 with a goal to support people with disability to find suitable and quality housing, and to support the efficient operation of the disability housing market.

Thousands of  properties across Australia are currently listed on the Housing Hub website, making it easier for housing seekers to find the right home. We’ve created an online community where housing seekers and housing providers work together to develop a market where people with disability enjoy choice and control over where they live and who they live with.

Join our Provider Services Team as a Community Engagement Coordinator on a 12-month parental leave contract.

In this vital role, you will help build and maintain key relationships across Victoria’s disability and accessible housing sector. Leveraging an established network, you will connect with housing providers, support coordinators, families, and other key stakeholders. Your mission? To promote accessible housing opportunities, raise awareness of vacancies, and champion better housing outcomes for people with disability.

You will also contribute to our consulting projects—supporting the  design of proposals, run engaging workshops, and guide our clients with your expert knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow our network and reach by building and maintaining relationships with a network of providers, LACs, Occupational Therapists, Support coordinators and other stakeholders to drive housing referrals through high-energy outreach and local events.
  • Deliver Impactful Consulting: Manage consulting projects end-to-end—facilitating workshops, sharing expert NDIS policy advice, and matching participants to the right homes.
  • Work with the team to identify new consulting leads and build fresh proposals.
  • Autonomously manage data and log your contacts and activities in our CRM Salesforce to track your impact.

Must haves:

  • A solid understanding of the disability sector, with in-depth knowledge of NDIS housing and support models
  • A proven track record of building trusted, long-lasting relationships in the community or disability sector.
  • An excellent listener and confident speaker who feels right at home presenting to a crowd or facilitating a workshop.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SIL and  SDA and the intersection with housing.
  • Experience looking at market data to see where housing is needed most.
  • A background in designing training modules or capacity-building programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant community, business, allied health or related qualifications are desirable

Benefits of working with us:

  • Not-for-profit PBI salary packaging, including meals and entertainment card
  • Above-award salaries
  • Flexible work arrangements
  • 17.5% leave loading
  • Employee assistance program
  • Purchased leave
  • A friendly and passionate team dedicated to making a difference
