Assistant Restaurant Manager @ Grana

About Grana Grana is our Italian restaurant known for its warm hospitality, considered food and wine, and a team that genuinely loves what they do.

The Role We’re looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day-to-day running of Grana and help lead a team that takes pride in delivering excellent, unpretentious hospitality. You’ll work closely with the leadership team across floor operations, team development, reservations, and the guest experience.

This is a role for someone who’s already found their feet in hospitality leadership and is ready for the next step.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading service on the floor and setting the standard for the team
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of floor staff
  • Managing reservations and pre-service briefings in collaboration with the team
  • Overseeing opening and closing procedures
  • Handling guest feedback in the moment
  • Assisting with rostering, labour management, and daily reporting
  • Supporting compliance across RSA, food safety, and OH&S
  • Contributing to a positive team culture that people actually want to be part of

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar front-of-house leadership role
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to read the room
  • Genuine enthusiasm for food, wine, and hospitality
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and consistent
  • Solid knowledge of SevenRooms or similar reservations platforms (desirable)
  • Current RSA certificate
