The Role

This role is dedicated to managing and servicing a portfolio of clients and provide a single point of contact for operations, servicing, materials and purchasing. This position is responsible for identifying areas of growth through business development whilst always providing an exceptional client experience. Whilst primarily office based, this position will be required to attend site to build up client relationships, to investigate technical problems and offer effective solutions. The ability to lead shutdown teams will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and grow a portfolio of clients

• Understand the sales process of target generation, customer contact, quotations, sales orders and follow up

• Develop and maintain customer relationships throughout the mining industry

• Be their single point of contact for operations, servicing, materials and purchasing

• Meet and exceed forecast

• Liaise closely with the administration, engineering and services team on preparation of quotes, clients and field services required

• Working with Client Liaison Manager to review all major deliverables for allocated accounts

• Delivering reports that are of a professional standard

Skills and Experience

• Mechanical trade background with Sales experience in the mining industry or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Commerce/Business

• Experience working in the mining industry will be highly regarded

• Demonstrated ability to foster and develop strong relationships

• Enjoy the challenge of technical sales

• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment

• Excellent oral and written communication

• Excellent organisational skills regarding time management to prioritise multiple and varied tasks

• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Outlook

• Show flexibility and willingness to be on-call when required to ensure client support is not impacted

• Some travel to remote sites to attend shutdowns and meet with clients is a key component of this role
