Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a high‑performing and enthusiastic Senior AML/CTF Compliance Advisor to join our Risk & Compliance team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Compliance, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the firm’s compliance with AML/CTF legislative and regulatory requirements. You will take end‑to‑end ownership of the firm’s AML/CTF program and act as a trusted advisor to partners and legal teams across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and managing the firm’s AML/CTF program, policies and procedures
  • Providing expert AML/CTF advice and support to partners, lawyers and practice teams
  • Managing and operating the AML platform, including responding to user queries and delivering training
  • Supporting staff capability through ongoing AML/CTF education and guidance
  • Managing AML/CTF reporting obligations and liaising with AUSTRAC, including audit requirements
  • Supporting risk assessments and embedding AML controls into existing compliance frameworks
  • Assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance with broader regulatory and compliance matters

About you

You are a confident, proactive compliance professional with strong AML/CTF expertise and the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders in a professional services environment.

Core skills and experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in compliance management within a complex regulatory environment
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, program development and implementation
  • Experience in professional services and an understanding of the legal industry
  • Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with key stakeholders
