Our Role

We’re seeking an experienced and detail‑focused Senior Accounts Officer with strong Trust and Client Management experience to play a key role within our national finance team. In this senior position, you will exercise end‑to‑end stewardship of the firm’s trust ledger, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, transactional integrity and audit readiness in line with Queensland Law Society requirements as well overseeing the integrity of our Client data. You will deliver responsive, solution‑focused trust support to partners, fee earners and external stakeholders, while championing best practice trust governance, mentoring team members and contributing to the broader performance and operational excellence of the Accounts function.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the firm’s Trust initial point of escalation, overseeing trust compliance, accuracy and audit readiness
  • Oversee the integrity of our Client data in conjunction with the firms Working Capital Advisors to ensure efficient billing processes
  • Provide trusted guidance and high‑quality support across all trust‑related interactions
  • Partner closely with finance, administrative and client‑facing teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Lead and support offshore and onshore accounts resources to ensure consistent standards and outcomes
  • Contribute at a senior level to the success, collaboration and continuous improvement of the finance function

If you bring proven experience in trust or high‑volume transactional accounting within a regulated environment, along with a collaborative and solution‑oriented approach, this is an opportunity to step into a senior role with real impact. You’ll apply your strong working knowledge of legal practice management systems (ideally Aderant) and sound commercial judgement to deliver accurate, compliant outcomes beyond pure transaction processing. Highly organised, detail‑focused and confident in building relationships, you’ll thrive in a service‑driven role where trust, professionalism and accountability are essential.
