We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded business development advisor to join our national business development and marketing team, based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Marketing, this role will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver strategic and tailored business development support across our priority client sectors.
This is a hands-on and highly visible role, responsible for the execution of business development plans that drive revenue growth, support key client relationships, and elevate the firm’s presence in market.
You will work alongside partners, legal practitioners, and the wider BD and Marketing team to:
- Support the development and execution of sector-based business development strategies
- Drive client and referrer relationship programs and implement key account plans
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with our sector focus
- Lead or contribute to strategic pitch and proposal development
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver sector-specific campaigns and thought leadership content
- Coordinate sector group meetings and manage communications and reporting
- Assist with sponsorships, events, and other profile-raising initiatives for the sector
- Track business development ROI and maintain accurate reporting through CRM and internal tools
To succeed in this role, you will be highly motivated, strategic and confident in working with senior stakeholders. We’re looking for someone with 5–7 years’ experience in a similar business development role, preferably within a professional services environment, who also has:
- A tertiary qualification in business, marketing, law, accounting, or a related discipline
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic BD plans, ideally with a sector focus
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to develop high-quality pitches and proposals
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience with marketing tools is a bonus
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
