Finance Assistant (Allrounder) – Brisbane, QLD

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 p.a. / Hourly: $35-38+ p/hr + super

Flexible Work Arrangements: Primarily office-based, with hybrid options available.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team in a dynamic all-rounder role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable & Receivable, invoicing, and bookkeeping. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts

• Perform reconciliations of vendor and customer accounts, resolving discrepancies

• Monitor aging reports and manage credit control and collections

• Assist in payroll processing, superannuation, PAYG, and BAS lodgement

• Prepare and analyse financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

• Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure ATO compliance

• Liaise with internal teams, clients, vendors, and legal partners to support business operations

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a combined AP/AR role, with experience in full-cycle bookkeeping and financial reporting

Qualifications: Minimum of Cert IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting; BAS Agent or similar credentials advantageous

Software Proficiency: Strong experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or Reckon; solid Excel skills

Skills: High attention to detail, excellent data-entry accuracy, time management, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
