  • Operate packaging and production machinery.
  • Manually open bales for processing using the equipment provided.
  • Assist with cleaning machinery and equipment.
  • Complete traceability, quality and safety paperwork and checklists.
  • Identify and escalate food safety and quality issues, hazards and risks.

Hours:

We will be operating 3 shifts across each 24-hours (day, afternoon and night), 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday) for approximately 6 weeks.

Each shift will be approximately 8 hours in duration (on some occasions up to 12 hours so your flexibility will be required).

  • Day: 6:00 am to 2:15 pm
  • Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 10:15 pm
  • Night: 10:00 pm to 6:15 am

You will be allocated either a day, afternoon or night shift. At times, you may be asked to work additional hours, sometimes at short notice so some flexibility is desired.

About you:

  • Forklift operators – we require 4 workers on each shift with a forklift licence. You must have a current Australian forklift high-risk work licence.
  • Experience operating machinery and equipment in a food manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions, adhere to WHS, food safety and quality procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be physically capable of safely performing manual handling tasks and spending long periods working on your feet.
  • Comfortable to be able to work in a cold room environment. We provide the appropriate warm PPE for these conditions.
  • Comply with our standards of hygiene (jewellery and facial piercings will need to be removed before the start of each shift, hair nets worn and facial hair covered).

Pay:

Horticulture Award 2020 casual level 3 $32.04.

Afternoon and night shifts will attract an additional 15% loading for hours worked between 8:31 pm and 4:59 am.

You will receive on-the-job role specific training and supervision to ensure you are fully supported in your role.

Our processing facility, Hop Central, is located 5 mins drive from the Myrtleford town centre.
