About Himayat
Himayat is a social enterprise (certified by Social Traders) delivering culturally attuned support and opportunities to diverse communities and local service partners. We actively bridge cultural gaps, broker local partnerships, and build community trust from the ground up. For individuals and families navigating complex health systems, Himayat Support Services delivers expert, culturally fluent NDIS, Aged Care, and peer support. We draw on collective lived experience to bridge the gaps where traditional care falls short and cuts people off. By focusing on the human first, we ensure professional care feels like genuine community instead of a transaction.
Role Description
We are seeking experienced and flexible Disability Support and Aged Care Workers to fill a range of casual roles available in our growing team. This involves playing a vital role in supporting participants to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and enhance quality of life. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care in alignment with Himayat’s values, NDIS Practice Standards, and individual support plans. We are growing and looking for Support Workers who bring both skills and
humanity to their work. These are casual positions with genuine flexibility – suited to people who want meaningful work without a rigid roster. You will provide direct support to NDIS participants and Aged Care clients across a range of needs: daily living, community access, personal care, domestic assistance, and transport. You will be matched to clients whose needs and backgrounds align with your experience and languages, wherever possible. This is not work from above. It is support from beside — responsive, respectful, and grounded in the reality of the person in front of you.
