Our Global Communications team are currently looking for a part time (4days/week) Production Manager to join the team as a Maternity Cover for 12 months. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the Global Communications teams in developing, and managing content that engages audiences and aligns with Hillsong’s mission, from concept to completion for assigned projects. This includes providing strategic direction and oversight of production timelines while managing budgets and schedules to ensure effective project execution.
Other aspects of this role include:
PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Manage projects and/or content from conception through to completion, including resource and equipment hires, schedules, communications, rosters, correspondence and reconciliations to budget and time frame.
- Manage and contribute to the department project calendar with realistic expectations.
- Assign resources, equipment and teams to projects and monitoring progress to ensure that targets are met.
- Regularly update the department project calendar to reflect shifting priorities, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Assist with project budget management for those allocated by recording and reporting expenditure and performing card reconciliations in accordance with company policy.
- Assist the Technical Director as needed and provide support for filming requests.
LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Provide support to film team, while contributing to the morale and unity across the Global Communications teams.
- Manage film team’s project loads and hours provide guidance as required.
- Build relationships with volunteers and create opportunities for them as appropriate to develop them and build a strong volunteer network to outwork the mission together.
ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE
- Complete and keep appropriate documentations and records for projects worked on for legal tracking and departmental record needs, on company systems such as Concord.
- Ensure content complies with all requirements specified.
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
- Proven experience in film production.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience overseeing operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and workflow management in a production setting.
- Knowledge of industry-standard film production tools and software, including post-production editing suites and camera equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with brand and storytelling objectives.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate teams and schedules, facilitating filming requests efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all times—especially under pressure.
- Strong time management and leadership abilities in a team environment.
- Demonstrates a strong aptitude for creative storytelling, bringing compelling narratives to life through film and media.
