Our Darwin Team are currently looking for a full time Generations Oversight to join our team. This role will be responsible for building and pastoring the volunteer community across the campus by creating a healthy, empowered volunteer culture, leading volunteers within Hillsong Kids, Youth and Young Adults and ensuring the effective execution of Sunday services and other events.
Other aspects of this role include:
Leadership
• Lead, support, and develop team leaders’ volunteers through kids, youth and young adults
• Identify, disciple, and develop emerging leaders within the volunteer base, promoting a growth mindset and cultivating a strong leadership pipeline across kids, youth and young adult
• Facilitate development opportunities such as leadership training, coaching, and mentoring in designated area
• Oversee and develop connect groups for Kids, Youth and Young Adults
• Support new Christians in exploring their faith, leveraging volunteers to walk alongside them in their journey
• Manage and engage in the effective use of Planning Centre Online
• Willingness to implement other ministry related tasks as requested from Campus Pastor.
Volunteer Engagement
• Foster a culture where relevant people feel seen, valued, and encouraged to grow in their faith through serving within the designated area
• Manage the end-to-end volunteer onboarding process including – interest, induction, placement, and training in alignment with safety and compliance requirements, as appropriate within Kids, Youth and Young Adults.
• Accept the responsibility of overseeing, implementing and keeping up to date with all areas of the Working With Children process as appropriate for Hillsong Church policy and process, as required within Kids, Youth and Young Adults
• Ensure all volunteers within responsibility are adequately inducted and up to date, in line with Hillsong Church policy.
• Implement a thorough pastoral pathway process for Kids, Youth and Young Adults to have a clear avenue of engagement and pastoral care, from new Christians, discipleship groups through to bible college avenues and the like.
Service Operations
• Oversee all aspects of relevant service volunteer engagement, ensuring volunteers are well-coordinated, equipped, and empowered to serve.
• Develop and maintain service rosters in collaboration with team leaders as relevant to Kids, Youth and Young Adults
• Be a visible and supportive presence during services, actively encouraging Kids, Youth and Young Adult volunteers and helping resolve issues as they arise
• Debrief with team leaders and key staff to continuously improve the volunteer and guest experience
• Be an oversight of volunteers in designation area of leadership to ensure services are in conjunction with Hillsong Church mission and vision.
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
• Ministry or theological qualification desirable.
• Demonstrated experience leading and pastoring volunteer teams
• Understanding of child safety standards, Work Health & Safety (WHS), and volunteer compliance processes.
• Proven desire and willingness to biblical pastoring
• Current Working With Children Check and approval within the Northern Territory as relevant, in conjunction with Hillsong Church policy and procedure.
