Our IT team are currently looking for a Church Management System Specialist to join the team. This role will be responsible for driving PCO platform adoption, configuration standards, change management, data quality, and enablement, while also providing hands‑on resolution of user, access, workflow, configuration, and data‑related issues.
Other aspects of this role include:
SYSTEM OWNERSHIP & CONFIGURATION
- Provide functional leadership and subject-matter expertise for Planning Center Online (PCO)
- Engage and train our staff and volunteers to promote best-practice use of PCO and consistent application of agreed standards.
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with the Discipleship team to support ongoing rollout and maturity of the platform.
- Lead the assessment, planning, approval, and implementation of configuration and process changes using structured change management practices.
- Own and manage approved system configurations, workflows, structures, and user-defined fields.
PLATFORM ADMINISTRATION
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and platform-related issues
- Engage with vendors to resolve issues and ensure ongoing platform supportability
- Perform routine maintenance and optimisation activities
- Oversee and take responsibility for:
a) addressing user requests relating to account creation, access permissions, account changes, and account deletion
b) Identifying and resolving duplicate records. Implementing controls and workflows to minimise the creation of multiple accounts for a single user.
c) Providing comprehensive technical support for database-related inquiries and support cases in a timely manner
DATA INTEGRITY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the platform
- Further implement and manage role-based access controls and permission models to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the platform
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and data protection obligations
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data access and security
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION & REPORTING
- Ensure platform decisions align with organisational goals and priorities by collaborating with other team members on the improvement systems, processes, and best practices
- Provide regular updates on the PCO rollout progress and overall system status and health
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
- Ideal candidate: 2+ years’ experience working with CRM platforms
- Experience working in a service desk or technical support environment
- Experience working with sensitive data
- Experience coordinating, documenting, and implementing system and process changes
