Our Greater Springfield Campus team are currently looking for a part time (2days/week) Children’s Oversight to join the team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the team health, growth and an increase in weekend attendance as well as ensuring systems and structures are in place so that the vision of Hillsong Church is outworked effectively at the Campus.

Other aspects of this role include:

Health & Weekend Attendance

  • Lead and grow Hillsong Kids attendance and engagement across all weekend services.
  • Deliver age-appropriate, high-quality programs at each weekend service
  • Build ministry health through strong KDGs, leader development, new and existing family connection and pastoral follow ups.
  • Oversee the Families Area and Parents Room during services, ensuring they are welcoming and well-supported.
  • Support and advocate for families by identifying needs, facilitating connection and championing church-wide family health initiatives.

Program Development

  • Collaborate with Hillsong Kids leaders and creative team to deliver excellent programs across all age groups.
  • Identify and implement improvements in safety, program quality and team communication.
  • Attend and actively support national events such as Summercamps and Hillsong Conference, while encouraging and coordinating the involvement of Hillsong Kids leaders, team and kids from local campus.
  • Lead and support special/non-weekend events as required.

Systems Development

  • Develop and maintain leadership pathways and growth for Hillsong Kids leaders at the campus.
  • Establish clear service structures to ensure every weekend service is appropriately led and supported.

Safe Church

  • Ensure full compliance with Safe Church policies in all Hillsong Kids programs and events.
  • Champion child safety through leader inductions, awareness and training, monitoring compliance and creating physically safe environments.

Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Theology, Education, or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience in children’s ministry leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to pastorally care for and disciple young people, supporting their spiritual, emotional, and relational development.
  • Experience in leading and equipping volunteer teams, including training, mentoring, and team building.
  • Experience in relational ministry, incl. connecting with children, parents, and leaders in a school or church setting.
  • Strong understanding of the spiritual and developmental needs of children age 3-12.
  • Knowledge of leadership development principles, particularly within a ministry or church context.
  • Clear understanding of Christian discipleship models, culture, and how to communicate faith in relevant and age-appropriate ways.
